Your mortgage business should fund your lifestyle, not own it

June 22, 2021 |

You have experienced financial success in the mortgage industry, but it’s not enough for you.

Money hasn’t been a problem for a long time, yet you tell yourself that you don’t have enough.

Every day you feel the pressure to be more and be better than you are.

You know that you are blessed, but that doesn’t stop you from feeling like you still want more.

You are never satisfied, even though you have more than you ever thought you would.

This way of constant discontent is no way to run a business…

And, it certainly is no way to live your life.

Chronic discontent is what I used to call it. The feeling of never being satisfied. Even when you do succeed, you have already set 3 more goals for yourself. This behavior is celebrated in the mortgage industry. “Hungry” they call it… The never-ending hustle.

This is one way to live life. If you are happy living with constant pressure to be more than you are, then this life may suit you. But, if you are like me, this never-ending habit of making more money is exhausting. Whatever happened to the dream of creating passive income? What about creating a business that funds your lifestyle rather than you working in it?

Typical “work” is a way to survive, not live. You should be spending your time doing work that lights you up. Your life should be a hustle for happiness and meaningful work. The idea of hustling for money so that you can one day work less is such an outdated concept. As if money is going to make you happy? Come on… we have known this not to be true for hundreds of years now.

That deep desire you have for more… is not for more money. It is a desire to have your life mean something.

The mortgage industry is an excellent platform for you to finally be yourself. You have access to a business that can fund the life you have always wanted. Now… it’s up to you to allow it to happen. Or… you can keep working and watch a few more years fly by.

If you want to make sure your life isn’t being wasted… let’s have a chat I have helped loan officers all over the country find meaning and purpose outside of the mortgage industry. You are so much more than a loan officer… and you will regret ignoring that feeling inside you telling you to find something more.
