If you have read a business book in the last decade, you’ll read a lot about business automation.
Ever since The 4-hour Work Week by Tim Ferris was written, it has been a goal for many to reduce their time spent at work to a minimum.
I read Tim’s book… And, I fell for it…
But, I actually made it a reality.
I visited 97 countries before the age of 30.
Between the ages of 30 and 35, I lived in 15 of those countries while working remotely.
I have not lived in Portland, Oregon since 2019…
Yet, I am getting more referrals now than I did back when I was local.
Is my lead generation process automated?
Not quite, but I’d call 4 hours close enough.
You and I both know that automated lead generation systems suck. The leads are garbage and it takes a team of international virtual assistants if you plan to sift through all of them to find the few good ones. If you’re like me, this is not the business model you want.
So, I chose a different route…
Reputation.
With a killer reputation, your lead generation is as close to automated as it gets… and the lead quality is outstanding.
Here’s how it works:
- Create a personal brand showcasing what makes you unique, what you are good at, and what you plan to do with your success.
- Articulate that personal brand in a way that can be distributed via email and social media.
- Drive Realtors to your personal brand (10 agents a day is plenty to move the needle).
- Ensure you have a clear Call To Action that appears regularly in your content delivery strategy. This makes it easy for agents to attend your next event.
- Sit back and let your reputation do the work.
Yes, it will take you about 3-6 hours a week to do everything listed above.
But, if that is all you are responsible for, it’s a pretty good life.
