Why is vacation illegal in the mortgage industry?

What’s the point of accumulating more money if you aren’t able to enjoy the benefits of it?

Are you really a business owner if your team can’t handle things when you are gone?

You have built something people want. It’s time to stop worrying about running out of money and start putting systems in place to set you free.

You built an opportunity. It is time to let others work for you so that you can continue to strengthen that opportunity and look for more opportunities. It makes no sense for you to be working these files anymore.

It isn’t going to be easy to move into ownership. People will judge you for taking so much time off. Other LOs will tempt you to return to the hustle by bragging about their production. Even successful people will make you feel bad for taking care of yourself.

Don’t listen to them.

This is your life. You get to decide how much money you need, how much time off you want, and how much you want to work each week.

If they want to work their life away, let them! There is no right or wrong answer here. Just know that you can have a different relationship with work and money. The only person forcing you to do anything is yourself.

There is more out there for you. Your mortgage business will be fine. In fact, the reality is that it will grow and prosper with you working ON the business rather than IN the business.
