“I’ll do this for the rest of my life.”

It’s hard to take that statement seriously when an 8-year-old says it, but we say this to ourselves all of the time.

“If I could just do _______ all day long… then I’d love my job.”

The truth is that we evolve and become more skilled than we thought possible.

By the time you finally get to where you thought that you would be happy… you see another opportunity that would be even more aligned with who you are and what you want.

And, the cycle continues year after year…

Chasing a more exciting career that actually uses your unique abilities in a way that lights you up and makes you feel like you are doing something significant.

The problem is that people don’t progress as fast as they are designed to.

Rather than making moves and changing their workday, they stay there far too long.

Days turn into months… Months into years…. Years into decades…

Had they just had the roadmap that the successful people use… They would have been lightyears ahead of where they are today.

Why do so few Loan Officers have the roadmap? Because the roadmap doesn’t look like a map at all. It’s full of guesswork, trial and error, and mistakes. But, it’s far from random. There is a formula that the most successful people use to navigate the process faster than others.

Where one person sees a failure. The other sees an attempt that didn’t work.

Where one person doesn’t know what to do next. The other seeks out help from those that have already done it.

When one person gets frustrated that they are moving too slowly. The other person looks for flaws in their system and looks for ways to speed up.

Every day brings about challenges and opportunities that we have never seen before. You will never be able to know exactly what to do next. How could you?

But, for those that understand the roadmap, the time it will take to figure it out is drastically less than for those that don’t understand it.

The frustrating thing is that people don’t teach you the roadmap. They don’t teach you how to think and operate at the elite level. Why? Because there are very few people who know that it even exists. The majority of people who understand how to use it don’t even know that they have it figured out. All they know is that their life keeps getting better and a whole lot more fun.

There is a roadmap that can show you who you are and what you are designed to do. Chances are that you already know most of it. You just have yet to put all of the pieces together in a way that allows you to use it efficiently.

I will tell you this… The best investment that you can make is to spend more time learning how to use the roadmap. How you have ALREADY been using it. And, what parts you don’t yet understand.

In your heart, you know that you have what it takes to get to where you are trying to go. And, you know that there are just a few missing pieces preventing you from getting there. THAT is why you get so frustrated. But, that’s a good thing. It means that you believe in yourself enough to know that you will one day get there.
