LOs live ½ as long as they could
Top-producers spend too much time working, on the phone, and obsessing about their investments.
This is surviving… NOT living.
What’s the point of working so hard if you just plan to work harder.
Even when you aren’t working, you are thinking about work.
While common in the mortgage industry…This is no way to live your life.
Watching years of your life wasted away working too hard.
All for what?
So that you can retire and stop working one day?
There’s a better way to live.
Retirement at 65 is a funny concept. Why would you want to sacrifice your youthful years for a hypothetical future? I would say that the delayed life plan is overrated. But, I don’t hear a single person saying that sacrificing 45 years of your life working is a good idea.
I chose a different path. Instead of sacrificing my life for money, I chose to build systems to duplicate what I did. Not only can you get some of your life back, but you can scale these systems endlessly.
I’m no genius… this is called business.
You own a portion of the marketplace. Your mortgage business is a trusted value that people have proven they want from. It is naive to think that this is all because of YOU. There is always a way to turn your personal brand into a system. Sure, people may like you… And, they like other people too.
Many LOs think that borrowers and realtors and will stop using them if they are removed from the day-to-day operations. This isn’t true. They might miss you… and they will continue to trust your team and system to take care of them.
Please, don’t waste half of your life working too hard. It’s just not necessary and you will regret it.
